No one can really prepare for a global crisis like what we are currently facing with the COVID-19 virus. It has been fast spreading and even in Tanzania, but we have prepared ourselves for emergency situations and are now putting in place all our best practices and experiences to deal with the situation. And we can assure you that we are doing everything in our power to manage the situation and ensure the health and safety of all our guests and staff.
Due to the severity of the situation, we have created a special protocol regarding existing and future bookings with Tommy Safaris.
- Should you decide to cancel the tour you have booked, the normal cancellation policies will apply.
- Should you decide to reschedule the tour your have booked, and the request was placed at least 15 days before the original tour starts, 100% of the deposited amount can be reused for a new tour with no rebooking fees or other penalties except in cases where hotels or other accommodations charge a fee or for flights that are non-refundable. (Most accommodations do not apply rebooking fees) You may request to reschedule your tour until the end of 2021. If you are not yet sure of a new travel date, you are free to provide a tentative date and we can confirm the exact date when you know for sure.
For all safaris that are about to start, we can assure you that all health-related procedures are strictly implemented and followed throughout the tour.
- All our staff have received extra training in health and safety-related to the COVID-19 virus and are required to be extra vigilant with their personal hygiene. This includes frequent hand washing, proper coughing and sneezing etiquette and making sure to avoid contact with people if sick or if symptoms are detected.
- We provide hand sanitizers in all of our safari vehicles.
